About Rebecca
I’m Rebecca, a BABCP accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist with over 15 years of clinical experience supporting adults to overcome anxiety, depression and the pressures of modern life. I am a neuro-affirming, dyslexic therapist, and I work from a compassionate, evidence-based approach that recognises and values each person’s unique strengths and needs.
My background includes extensive work in both the NHS and private practice, where I have helped hundreds of adults find relief from anxiety, burnout, pre and postnatal difficulties and long standing patterns that keep them feeling stuck. During my time in the NHS I developed a specialist postnatal depression and anxiety programme, and I continue to support pre and post natal mums in my private practice.
Areas I Specialise In
I offer treatment for a wide range of difficulties, including:
-
Anxiety disorders (GAD, Panic, Health Anxiety, OCD, Social Anxiety)
-
Burnout and chronic overwhelm
-
Depression and low mood
-
Postnatal anxiety and postnatal depression
-
Mental exhaustion and emotional dysregulation
-
Low self-esteem and self-criticism
-
Stress related to work, parenting or life transitions
My Therapeutic Approach
You can expect therapy that is collaborative, and grounded in NICE recommended Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I will take time to understand your experiences, from your perspective, and together we will develop a treatment plan which feels safe, achievable and tailored to your goals.
As a neuro-affirming therapist, I adapt therapy to your thinking style, learning needs and sensory preferences. This may include using visual tools, pacing sessions differently, or offering alternative ways to process information. My aim is to make therapy accessible, compassionate and genuinely effective for you.

Start Your Therapy Journey
If you’re ready to improve your wellbeing and make meaningful, lasting change, I’d be happy to support you.
Useful to know:
After completing my BSc (Hons) in Psychology, I gained early experience in both adult care settings and special educational needs (SEN) child care, including supporting children with additional needs and challenging behaviour. This foundation gave me a deep understanding of neurodiversity, emotional development and the impact of stress on families. This knowledge continues to inform my work today.
I went on to train as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP), supporting adults with anxiety and depression using evidence-based, NICE recommended interventions. I later completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) at Exeter University and have since supported a wide range of adults across the spectrum of mental health difficulties, with a specialist focus on anxiety disorders and depression.
I currently work both within the NHS in Dorset and in private practice. I offer in-person CBT in Poole and Wimborne, and online CBT to adults across the UK, making therapy flexible and accessible wherever you are based.
In addition to my clinical work, I have experience delivering text-based CBT through ieso Digital Health and extensive experience providing online therapy via video or telephone. This allows me to offer high-quality, adaptable support for clients who prefer remote therapy or need appointments that fit around busy schedules.
